The pacharán is elaborated in a traditional way macerando sloes in anise. The endrina, known as a spider in Navarre, is the fruit of the shrub Prunus spinosa, which we usually call sloe. It belongs to the family of plums but has a much smaller size, lower than that of cherries. Of bluish black color, its flavor is acid and astringent.
It is surprising that it is lacking in sweetness, which is why it has never been consumed as a fruit. It is usually served in small glasses of glass and according to taste, very cold or with ice. You can drink it in summer or in winter, to warm up or to cool down. You can also combine it with soda, orange juice, cola or make rich cocktails. It can even be used as an ingredient to flavor desserts.
